AAV-DC-CTLTM Turmor Cell Targeting Therapy (ACTLTM) - A new breakthrough in cancer therapy

AAV-DC-CTLTM Tumor Cell Targeting Therapy technology makes use of the non-pathogenic wild-type Adeno-associated virus (AAV), through gene recombination technique, to construct a recombinant AAV carrying specific tumor-associated epitope determinant gene(s). After the infection of the recombinant AAV to the peripheral blood monocular cells of the cancer patent and cytokine induction aftwards, monocytes would transform to the powerful antigen presenting DC cells. Subsequently, the DC cells obtained through such technology can in vitro elicit the T lymphocytes extracted from patient and produce effective anti-tumor cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL). Since the CTL produced possess tumor antigen specificity, i.e. targeting ability, therefore, one or several types of specific anti-tumor related antigen positive tumor cells and PSMA positive angiogenesis tumor endothelial cells would be eliminated. As such, antigen negative cells would not be affected........ [Learn More ]

CIK or CIK-DC Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy treatment functions to stimulate and restore the body's natural immune (defense) system to fight infection and disease, protecting the body from some of the side effects of treatment.

CIK (cytokine-induced killer) is the best adoptive immunotherapy in medical practice. CIK cells can recognize and attack cancerous cells, proliferative or non-proliferative. CIK-DC consists of CIK cells and DC cells (Dendritic cells). Dendritic cells are the most powerful antigen-presenting cells. They help CIK cells to recognize the antigens on cancer cells. CIK-DC can selectively destroy tumor cells with higher targeting rates. The treatment has little to no side effects. Now, CIK or CIK-DC has been applied to treat leukemia, kidney cancer, malignant lymphoma, liver cancer, breast cancer, gastric cancer, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer, colon cancer, rectal cancer, lung cancer and other malignant tumors, and has yielded significant effects........[Learn More ]

Traditional Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an indispensable part of the splendid classic Chinese culture. In its long course of development, it has absorbed the quintessence of classical Chinese philosophy, culture and science, and summarized the experience of the Chinese people in fighting against disease. On account of its significant clinical therapeutic effect, TCM is gradually recognized and applied by the western world. Concept of holism and syndrome differentiation and treatment are the two basic characteristics of TCM in understanding human physiology and pathology as well as diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. The concept of holism refers that the human body is an organic whole and human beings are interrelated with nature. On the other hand, Syndrome differentiation and treatment means to analyze, induce, synthesize, judge and summarize the clinical data of symptoms and signs collected with the four diagnostic methods (namely inspection, listening and smelling, inquiry, taking pulse and palpation) into certain syndrome.[Learn More ]

Gene Therapy (Gendicine Drug)

Gendicine is a milestone in medical history. Licensed by SFDA (State Food and Drug Administration) in 2004, Gendicine is the first gene therapy drug in the world and is only available in China. Many types of cancers are supposed to be related to gene defects. Gene therapy is the process of replacing defective or cancerous genes (also called “oncogenes”) with normal genes so as to prevent tumor growth and the spread of cancer. Gendicine is a recombinant adenovirus containing the tumor suppressor gene p53, which is supposed to be able to suppress various tumors. Gendincine can be injected directly into a tumor by local treatment, or more often through the vein for systemic treatment. Gendicine can also be used by hepatic artery infusion, intraperitoneal injection, bronchoalveolar lavage, or intravesical instillation. Clinical research on Gendicine suggests it is very safe, and no severe adverse effects were observed........[Learn More ]

Antiangiogenesis Agents (Endostar Drug)

Antiangiogenesis Agents work by inhibiting angiogenesis: the proliferous formation of new blood vessels in and around the tumoral tissue. Combined with mild chemotherapy, it not only produces tumor shrinking but also overcomes prior chemotherapy resistance in many types of advanced cancer patients. Endostar (recombinant human endostatin) is the most potent antiangiogenesis agent known today, due to its effective interaction with a wide range of angiogenesis promoters. Endostar is now widely used in lung, breast, pancreas and colorectal cancers. Endostar can be injected directly into the tumor as local treatment, or more often through the vein for systemic treatment to prevent recurrence and metastasis. Endostar can also be applied by hepatic artery infusion, intraperitoneal injection, bronchoalveolar lavage, or intravesical instillation........[Learn More ]

Cryoablation

Cryoablation, also called cryosurgery or tumor targeted cryoablation therapy, is a minimally invasive technique to ablate tumor masses rapidly with freezing-thawing cycles. Cryoablation unit was approved as prostate cancer treatment by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1999. Clinical applications in China show that cryoablation can be used to eliminate tumor masses widely in lung, liver, breast, kidney, prostate gland, skin and soft tissue. With over nine years of clinical trials, following 30,000 cancer patients, cryoablation is a safe and effective local treatment with little pain and side effects........[Learn More ]

 Radioactive seeds implantation

As a kind of internal radiotherapy, radioactive seeds implantation refers to the procedure of implanting a low-dosage of micro radioactive source into the tumor tissue or the surrounding involved tissue regularly. This kind of therapy can kill the cancer cells to a maximum extent with little damage to the surrounding normal tissues for that the radioactive source can give off rays continuously and these rays will irradiate the tumor tissue uninterruptedly. Radioactive seeds can be implanted into the tumor tissue through a guide pin by the way of subcutaneous puncture. Consequently, it has the merits of simple procedure and small trauma.

 TACE(Transcatheter Arterial Chemo Embolization)

Transcatheter Arterial ChemoEmbolization has been used extensively in the treatment of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma to kill the tumor and slow tumor growth. The process involves starving the tumor of blood flow while using gentle, targeted chemotherapy on the cancerous growth........[Learn More ]

Cancer Stem Cell Targeting

Cancer stem cells have been isolated in various solid tumors including breast, pancreas, ovary, colon and rectum cancers. In China, research into the PI3K-AKT-mTOR signaling pathway (a recently discovered mechanism by which cancerous stem cells transmit signals) shows rewarding promises in the ability to overcome resistance to chemotherapy. By targeting cancer stem cells in breast, pancreas and colorectum cancer with novel agents identified by researchers and physicians in China, positive results are seen in controlling cancer progression and extending survival time........[Learn More ]

Gamma Knife

Gamma Knife radiosurgery is a precise and powerful treatment for brain disorders. It is noninvasive, effective, and safe. This makes it the optimal choice for treating a wide variety of conditions including benign or malignant brain tumors, blood vessel malformations, trigeminal neuralgia (also called tic douloureux), and tremors. Gamma Knife is a method of radiosurgery that delivers extremely focused beams of cobalt radiation to precise targets in the brain, as many as 201 individual beams. Individually, the beams are too weak to damage healthy tissue. Together, they converge to deliver powerful treatment to a single point.
Pre-treatment preparation and the actual radiosurgery are performed in one day. Most patients can return to their normal routines in a day or so. In addition, radiosurgery is less expensive than conventional neurosurgery. It eliminates the need for lengthy hospitalizations, medications, and rehabilitation........[Learn More ]

Radiofrequency Ablation

Radiofrequency ablation, as a kind of minimal invasive treatment method, is widely applied in the treatment for tumors, such as liver cancer, lung cancer and so on. The fundamental principle of this therapy is that high-frequency electrical currents from the radiofrequency electrode will create a high temperature environment in the tumor tissue and then the tumor tissue will necrose. On one hand, high temperature can increase the activity of lysosomal enzymes in the tumor cells and affect the normal function of some organelles. On the other hand, high temperature can coagulate the blood vessels around the tumor tissue, which can block the blood supply and prevent the metastasis of cancer cells. Radiofrequency Ablation is applicable to solid benign or malignant tumors and is widely used in the treatment of breast cancer, liver cancer and lung cancer.
